NOTICE DECEMBER 2018: Are you based in the Europe/Asia timezone? We are currently experiencing very high demand for proofreaders and are therefore offering our proofreading certification to the first 100 applicants for FREE so that we can you onboard ASAP. Please apply here.

Are you a native English speaker? Looking for remote work? Meridian Linguistics could use your help as a proofreader!

Meridian handles millions of words of translation a month, about half of which is into English. We rely on responsive and detail-oriented proofreaders to make sure those translations are client-ready.

You don’t need to be a translator, or even know a second language (although it always helps!) You can read more about how to be a proofreader here:

How To Work As a Proofreader.

Best of all, you can work from home (or from a hammock in Thailand, we don’t care!) You can accept work on a per-project basis to meet your own availability. As long as you meet your deadlines and do thorough work, we’re all happy!

Qualifications

We do require our proofreaders to demonstrate proofreading ability before working with us, whether this be by certification or referral. If you do not have these already, you may take our Proofreading Certification exam.

How To Get Paid

Proofreading is usually paid hourly, per-word, or on a flat rate basis. You may accept or reject any project we send you (however, the more you accept the more we will contact you!)

We like to make the payment process as speedy and efficient as possible for our freelancers so that they can focus on what they do best: navigating confusing payment portals proofreading! Learn how to invoice and get paid for your work here.
