Nick Crosby MA, AITI translates from French and Italian into English, specialising in information technology, digitalisation, and B2B communication. After 20 years as an engineer and IT systems analyst in the manufacturing and logistics sectors, he turned full-time independent translator in 2015.

Spanish to English Translator

Rebecca Metcalfe

Rebecca Metcalfe is a freelance translator who works from Spanish to British English. 

Previously working as a qualified paramedic and clinical advisor for 13 years in London and the surrounding areas, her translation work focuses on prehospital care and emergency medicine, as well as general medical texts.

She has been learning and using Spanish as a second language since 2000.  Originally from London but now living in Devon she holds an Open BA (Hons) degree in Spanish and philosophy as well as degree-level qualifications in clinical reasoning, and management of minor health and injuries. She will continue her studies in February 2018 when she will be embarking on a Masters in Translation Studies in February 2019.

Meridian’s translation tests are a rigorous evaluation of a translator’s source language comprehension, target language fluency, research skills, and comprehensive translation ability.
