Meridian Linguistics, which was incorporated in 2015, has just translated its 10 millionth word, thanks to several high-volume translation projects in 2016 and 2017. Those include MT-training materials for Naver Corp., South Korea’s No. 1 search engine (Korean into French); a website for multinational law firm Kobre & Kim (English into Chinese and Korean); and guidebooks for San Francisco-based home-sharing startup giant Airbnb Inc. (English into Korean).

This has been a year of expansion for Meridian Linguistics. We have established a new partnership with Boostlingo for our recently-launched remote-interpreting services and hired a new project manager, Tatjana Subarevic, who specializes in interpreting projects. She will be overseeing requests during the European day from Lyon, France.

In order to meet growing demand, we have onboarded dozens of new linguists specializing in Mongolian, Indonesian, Romanian, Slovakian, Serbo-Croatian, and Norwegian.
